For Immediate Release: September 13, 2023 Contact: Dan Hendrickson 612-414-8363 or [email protected] www.houseoflionmovie.com “The Sisters were always there for me as a child and as an adult,” says Sal Di Leo. “I just didn’t know it until I reached the end of my rope.” Orphaned at an early age, Sal Di Leo was taken in and raised by Catholic Sisters. Through a rocky childhood and an equally rocky adulthood, the Sisters remained devoted to Sal, even saving him from taking his own life. It was the advice of his lifetime friend, Sister Mary Paul OSF, that made all the difference. The powerful story of Sal’s conversion is being developed into a full-length feature film. (www.houseoflionmovie.com) It is a no-fluff true story about a young man’s journey through the trials of life to find the truth, and how he did it with the help of the tough and practical Franciscan, Sister Mary Paul. Daniel Bielinski, founder of the film company Canticle Productions (www.canticle-productions.com) is producing the film. His company is dedicated to honoring the history, culture, and people of the Great Plains through powerful, inspirational storytelling. “In exploring the remarkable conversion story of Sal Di Leo, our film will shine a light on a truly extraordinary woman,” says Bielinski. “Sister Mary Paul broke a lot of stereotypes in the 1960’s, but she remained wholly dedicated to her faith and to the orphaned children, like Sal, that were entrusted to her keeping.” The media has not been kind to Catholic clergy in recent years. But it’s important to know that there are beautiful souls like Sister Mary Paul who can bring a little bit of light into a dark world. I would first like to thank all of you who have been so gracious to agree to serve on our "Board Of Advisors" for our film project. Your prayers matter most and we truly appreciate them. This project is driven by prayer and the grace of God. Thank you. Our Mission is to tell a story, in a major motion picture, of hope in God, in today's world, where hope is so much needed. We have been very blessed to add 6 more excellent people to our "Board Of Advisors" for our film, "House Of The Lion". Please meet our newest members: As for the film, our Producer, Daniel Belinski, from the University Of Mary in Bismarck, ND has completed the screenplay and set our budget for the film in the amount of $2 Million. This is not a big budget film. But, we believe you will be very pleased with the quality of production Daniel has built his reputation around (www.canticle-productions.com).
We now move forward with our Capital Campaign. Please pray God will send us good people (investors), who first want to help us tell this story of hope in God in a world where we are bombarded with hopelessness, despair, and the notion "God is Dead". Our goal is to try and get the capital raised by this fall and to begin production there after. May God Bless each of you, your loved ones, and your mission/work. Please see the link below for the complete Board of Advisors. In addition, our "Pitch Deck" for the film concept, available for you to share with whomever you wish.
